The world needs Seinfeld

Seinfeld was a revolutionary show that defined a generation and its morals....

That's not a good thing.

Seinfeld was about four people who all had identity issues. (There can be an entire Barker book dedicated to this show as a result)

Some people interpret all the characters to be assholes who try to do good in life but are horrible at it.
I believe that this is the most accurate interpretation of the show.  As much as the characters try to portray and view themselves as well-adjusted people, they all have deep issues and problems with little insignificant things.

Seinfeld has influenced television as other seinfeld-like shows have appeared recently with characters just as shallow.
The perfect example of this is: It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia

The show is based on a similar concept, a close group knit of friends who are nothing but assholes to each other and to the world.  Identity issues are just the surface of their problems as they each face different obstacles that neither of them will ever address.
